At EBMA Foundation, we deeply value every contribution made towards our mission of uplifting communities through education, healthcare, and sustainable development. We strive to ensure that all donations are used effectively, ethically, and transparently. However, we recognise that there may be circumstances where a refund is requested. This policy outlines our approach to handling such requests.
General Refund Policy
Donations made to EBMA Foundation are generally non-refundable, as they are immediately directed towards our ongoing projects and programs. However, exceptions may be made under the following circumstances:
- Duplicate donations due to system errors or accidental multiple submissions.
- Erroneous transactions, such as incorrect amount entries.
- Fraudulent transactions or unauthorised use of the donor’s financial details.
1. Refund Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a refund, the request must meet all of the following conditions:
- The request is submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of donation.
- A valid reason for the refund is provided.
- The donation has not yet been utilised or allocated to a specific program, especially in the case of restricted funds.
- The donation does not fall under legacy, CSR, or in-kind categories, which are generally non-refundable due to legal and logistical considerations.
2.Non-Refundable Donations
The following donation types are typically non-refundable:
- Donations made through legacy giving (wills, property, or endowments).
- In-kind contributions including goods or services.
- Donations made as part of corporate CSR partnerships that are legally bound by agreements.
- Contributions that have already been allocated or reported as restricted program funds.
3. Refund Request Procedure
To initiate a refund request, please email us at ebmafoundation@gmail.com with the following details:
- Full name of the donor
- Donation date and amount
- Payment method and transaction reference ID
- Reason for requesting a refund
Our team will verify the transaction and review the request within 10 working days. If approved, the refund will be processed via the original mode of payment and may take 7–14 business days to reflect in the donor’s account.
4. Processing and Administrative Charges
In certain cases, bank or gateway charges incurred during the donation process may be deducted from the refunded amount.
5. Right to Decline Refund Requests
EBMA Foundation reserves the right to decline refund requests if:
- The request is made after 7 days of the transaction.
- There is insufficient information provided to validate the request.
- The donation has already been allocated or utilised for its intended purpose.
