Introduction
The EBMA Foundation is committed to transforming lives through impactful interventions in health, education, and community development. In pursuit of our mission, we welcome and responsibly manage donations from individuals, High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), corporates (CSR), and other entities.
This Donation Policy outlines the types of donations accepted, their governance, utilisation, and the process for receiving acknowledgment and tax-exempt certificates.
Types of Donors
We accept contributions from the following donor categories:
- Individuals – One-time or recurring support from citizens who believe in our cause.
- High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) – Philanthropists and influential supporters providing substantial donations.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Contributions – As per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, we accept CSR funds for approved projects.
Modes of Donation
One-Time Donations
Donors may contribute a lump-sum amount to support our programs or campaigns of their choice. These donations may be:
- Restricted – Designated for a specific program or initiative.
- Unrestricted – Utilised at the discretion of the Foundation for priority areas.
1. Recurring Donations
Recurring monthly, quarterly, or annual contributions help ensure continuity in service delivery. These may be automatically debited through standing instructions or subscription platforms.
2. Legacy Donations
We gratefully accept legacy donations through:
- Bequests in wills
- Gifts of property or investments
- Endowments
Legacy donations can be designated as restricted or unrestricted. Donors are encouraged to consult with us in advance to ensure alignment with our mission and compliance with applicable laws.
3. In-Kind Donations
EBMA Foundation accepts non-monetary donations that support our work. These include:
- Goods – Educational materials, medical equipment, clothes, etc.
- Services – Professional services such as legal, IT, marketing.
- Real Estate/Assets – To be evaluated based on relevance and feasibility.
Please contact our team before making an in-kind contribution to confirm acceptability and logistics.
Use of Donations
Restricted Funds
Restricted donations will be used strictly for the purpose specified by the donor, subject to feasibility and alignment with EBMA’s objectives.
1. Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted funds are used where the need is greatest and may support operations, innovations, or emergencies.
2. Fund Governance and Evaluation
All funds received are subject to a transparent governance mechanism that includes:
- Internal audits conducted quarterly.
- Annual third-party financial audits.
- Monitoring and evaluation of funded projects using measurable impact indicators.
- Donor reports shared periodically for significant contributions.
A Finance and Compliance Committee within EBMA Foundation oversees fund disbursement and ensures adherence to donor intent, legal frameworks, and internal policies.
3. Donation Acknowledgment and Tax Certificates
- All donors will receive a donation receipt and certificate of acknowledgment via email or physical copy (upon request).
- Donations are eligible for tax exemptions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act (for Indian taxpayers).
- For CSR donations, necessary utilization and impact reports along with CSR Compliance Certificates will be provided.
- Legacy and HNI donations may receive customized reports and periodic updates.

- Use the auto-generated link sent post-donation.
- Or email us info@ebmafoundation.org with your name, date, and donation reference number.
5. Refund Policy
Donations once made are generally non-refundable, except in cases of erroneous transactions or duplicate payments. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the transaction to: info@ebmafoundation.org
6.Policy Review
This Donation Policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to comply with legal changes and align with EBMA’s strategic goals.
