The EBMA Foundation was established in 2014 and registered under Assam Societies Registration Act of 1860 with a mission to bring meaningful change in the areas of healthcare and education. For over 11 years, the foundation has been working closely with underserved communities, with a strong focus on healthcare and educational development. Building on our commitment to holistic development, the foundation has expanded its work into the healthcare sector, with a specific focus on cleft care. Today, we are proud to be actively engaged in cleft-related health programs across India, providing life-changing surgeries, pre- and post-operative care, and awareness programs to underserved populations.   

Our journey began with the belief that education is the cornerstone of empowerment. Since then, we have supported hundreds of children and families by improving access to quality education, promoting school retention, and supporting inclusive learning environments. Our grassroots efforts in Darrang have helped uplift communities and inspire a culture of learning. While our commitment to education remains firm, the EBMA Foundation has evolved to respond to an equally urgent and life-changing cause: cleft lip and palate care. Millions of children in India are born with cleft conditions, facing social stigma, speech and feeding difficulties, and an uphill struggle for acceptance and inclusion.

Today,  primary in healthcare we are focusing on cleft care driven by the same values of equity, dignity, and compassion that have always defined us. We work in collaboration with surgeons, hospitals, and international partners like Free To Smile Foundation to provide free, high-quality cleft surgeries and comprehensive support to children from low-income families. By addressing both education and healthcare disparities, EBMA Foundation strives to build a future where no child is left behind — whether in the classroom or in life.
